Jackie (she/her) became passionate about birth work and reproductive rights after witnessing her sisters’ births at a young age. It wasn’t until she attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she eventually trained and served as a volunteer doula, that Jackie felt a growing pull toward supporting and empowering women and their families during childbirth. Jackie brings her health education background to her role as a doula, providing science-based, actionable information to women and their families, so they may articulate their preferences, and ultimately do what is best for themselves and their family. When not attending births, you can find Jackie listening to podcasts, exploring new restaurants in Annapolis, and going on hikes with her fiancé and six-year old pit bull.
